Honestly, when I heard Anne Hathaway was cast as Catwoman, I was a bit skeptical. It was just like when Mark Ruffalo was cast as the Hulk in the Avenger. I had liked Edward Norton, so it worried me that they brought in someone else. And in BB and TDK, I absolutely loved Rachel. Her and Bruce were so perfect together, in my opinion. So, when I heard about Anne, I was almost upset, because I felt that she may be replacing Rachel as Bruce’s love interest.
But, just as in The Avengers, when I saw TDKR, I was amazed. Anne did so well as Catwoman, and I have so much respect for her as an actress now. I did before, but she was just amazing in TDKR. And Catwoman… I loved her character. I felt like she was challenging Bruce, almost, and I liked that. I loved the way they had her character develop from being a thief, to helping Bruce defeat Bane. I thought they played it perfectly.
The Dark Knight trilogy is literally perfect, in my opinion. The one and ONLY thing that I dislike is the fact that Rachel died. I wanted her and Bruce to end up together. But, her dying really helped develop Bruce as a person, and it made for such a great storyline. It just makes me sad, ya know? Bruce believed for 8 years that Rachel had chosen him over Harvey, but in reality, she didn’t. I don’t know what I’m talking about anymore. I’m so off topic.
Anyway, I hope I answered your questions! and thank you for asking them!

The pearls were vital to me. When you actually pause for a shot where she looks at herself in the mirror with the pearls, which to me says everything’s flashing through her head, what it could have been if things have been different, if things have been fairer, if things have been you know, which side of the tracks are you born on the accident of all that. - Hans Zimmer
